There are numerous phones on the market. Many of the cellular devices available are smartphones. With so many high end phones on the market a person might have trouble choosing a phone with less extravagant features. Not everyone can afford many of the expensive phones available. Some people just want a suitable phone for messaging and taking pictures. The LG Neon is a great phone for anyone who cant afford a smartphone but would still like a phone with great features.
Firstly the LG Neon is a good looking phone. It has a very smooth and modern design. The phone has rounded edges and no hard lines, which also make the phone very comfortable to hold in ones hand. The Neon is also very light. With its light weight and sleek design the phone fits neatly in ones pocket and doesnt feel incredibly bulky or heavy. Most noticeably the phone features a touch screen. Oddly enough though its only usage is only for dialing numbers. One would expect the touch screen to perform more tasks but anyone looking for such features will be disappointed. The full QWERTY keyboard is found underneath the slide compartment. The keyboard is not cramped at all and is very comfortable to use. One will be able to easily thumb messages. The LG Neon is also able to sync up with many messaging and email services such as AIM, AOL, Yahoo Messenger, and even Windows Live Messenger.
The camera found on the LG Neon actually takes decent photos. There are numerous settings and image option controls such as three quality settings, five white balance presets, five color effects, 4x zoom, self-timer, and three shutter tones including a silent option. There is no flash so make sure any picture you would like to take is in a well lit area. Otherwise the pictures will appear grey and foggy. Other than that the actual picture quality is pretty decent. The camera can also record video in unfortunately only two resolutions. Recording onto a Micro SD card will allow users to record longer videos.
Downloading songs and games on the LG Neon will take quite a while. Without any notable 3G or Wi-Fi support downloading content is a chore. Downloading a 1MB song took about 12 minutes. Also web browsing was very sluggish. Web pages took a while to load especially pages which were content heavy.
The LG Neons call quality was very crisp and clear. Callers will enjoy static and interference free calls. The microphone is obviously top notch. On the other hand the speakerphone function didnt fare as well. Even though there are many volume options the caller will always sound low and distant. Music played on the Neon will also sound low.
The LG Neon is a satisfactory phone for anyone looking for something that isnt so expansive. It exceeds at providing consumers with a great phone service as well as text messaging, camera/video recorder, and basic web browsing functions.
